Enrollment
We’d love to have your family join our school community! Parents interested in Child’s View are invited to call for an observation and tour. You’ll have an opportunity to see the classroom in action and ask questions about our program. It is important to us our families are well informed and comfortable with our program before enrolling.
Our school year starts the day after Labor Day for returning students, with our new children entering throughout the first week. Child’s View is a year-round program, with both a School Year and a Summer session. Parents interested in enrolling for the Fall are encouraged to have their Application for Enrollment turned in before April 15th. Enrollment is available throughout the year if space permits. Many new families also begin during the summer session.
To enroll your child in the program, the Enrollment Application is filled out and returned with the nonrefundable registration fee. Upon acceptance the deposit must be paid to secure and hold your child’s place in the program. The deposit is refundable after the contract year provided all fees have been paid and a 30 day written notice is given. The deposit is also used to secure your child’s place for the following school year.
The ideal in a Montessori program is a three year cycle, with the first two laying a foundation and culminating with the Kindergarten year. Some children who begin at 2 ½ may actually attend four years. This final year in Montessori is an exciting time when all the child has previously learned comes together and the child shows increased desire and ability in academic learning, develops a strong social connection within the environment, both with his peers and as a mentor to the younger children, and finishes the program with confidence and ability.
Tuition
Child's View is a year-round Montessori program. Tuition is an annual fee divided into 12 monthly payments. A vacation credit option is available during the summer. A Summer Credit Form is required by April 1st for families wishing to take a summer vacation or break. Please see the Tuition Schedule for the tuition amount for the schedule most suited to your family’s needs.
Orientation
Before your child’s first day, an orientation time will be set for your child to visit the school and become acquainted. Your child will visit the classroom, choose a cubby, meet his/her Teacher, and have a “lesson.” This helps your child to feel more comfortable before his/her first day.
Forms
After we receive your Application form and your child is accepted into the program, you will receive additional forms that need to be completed and returned on or before your child’s first day, along with the first tuition payment. These include: an Emergency Information and Authorization form, an Immunization form, a signed Enrollment Agreement, a School Questionnaire, Directory Consent, and Sunscreen Authorization.
